PROM

As part of the 2024 recruitment, Warsaw University of Technology will continue the NAWA project under the PROM program. This is a short-term academic exchange that offers international experience and acquisition of knowledge and skills for doctoral students and academic staff.

The project will cover a one-year period: from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025, divided into shorter competition periods. The aim of participation is to expand and improve competences in the form of short trips from 5 to 30 days with an international character. The project covers trips of PhD students and WUT employees outside Poland, as well as arrivals of foreign PhD students and academic staff to Poland.

NOTE: Due to budget constraints and requirements to meet project indicators, the project will only consider applications for mobilities lasting a maximum of 5 to 14 days, including travel days.

Time for submitting applications: 07.04.2025 - 28.04.2025. Applications will be submitted online to projekty.sd@pw.edu.pl.

When assessing the application for a short-term academic exchange, the following elements are particularly taken into consideration:

• Compatibility of the planned activities with the scope and subject of the doctoral thesis and its impact on the candidate’s scientific development;
• Description of the planned activities, anticipated results in relation to the entire scientific and research work, the way of their use (e.g. publications)
• Previous scientific achievements resulting from the conducted research, such as publications, conference presentations, patents, awards etc. taking into account the stage of scientific career;
• Scientific rank of the event (conference, summer/winter school, trainings, courses, workshops);
• Scientific rank of the institution where the activity will be conducted (research internship, taking measurements with the use of unique equipment/infrastructure, participation in the drafting of international grant application etc.);
• If the number of places is limited or more than one person obtains the same score, priority will be given to candidates who have not previously participated in PROM projects

Planned limits and numbers of Participants (100 Participants in total):

• PhD students from the Warsaw University of Technology leaving within the project - 80
• foreign PhD students coming to the Warsaw University of Technology - 5
• Warsaw University of Technology employees leaving within the project - 10
• foreign employees coming to the Warsaw University of Technology within the project – 5
