An Analyst with Creativity in Environmental Protection
MSc Światosław Gorodecki is a PhD candidate at the Doctoral School of the Warsaw University of Technology. He conducts research at the Faculty of Environmental Engineering. He completed his Master’s degree in Environmental Protection at the University of Łódź, and his Bachelor’s degree in geomonitoring.
The doctoral student is the recipient of numerous scientific and professional achievements, including the Rector’s Scholarship, an award for the best Master’s thesis, and several professional distinctions. In 2026, he received a Dean’s grant to carry out a research project. Światosław’s scientific interests focus on surface water quality, wastewater treatment processes, and spatial analyses using GIS (Geographical Information Systems) tools. In his doctoral research, he studies phosphorus recycling as an element of sustainable natural resource management. He gained experience, among others, in the laboratory of the “Czajka” wastewater treatment plant and at the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection, combining a scientific approach with practical experience.
Światosław is highly skilled at combining analytical thinking with creativity, which is extremely valuable in his work. Outside academia, he also develops his passions for folk dance, music, and photography.
