The registration of candidates will be conducted via the IRK system www.irk.pw.edu.pl from June 10, 2026.

NOTE! Candidates holding a diploma of graduation from a country outside of the EU, along with the recruitment documents, submit a certified translation of the diploma into Polish language (if it is in a language other than English) and a diploma supplement, as well as a personalized certificate issued by the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), confirming whether the diploma is equivalent to a Polish diploma, entitles the candidate to continue their education in Poland and if it requires nostrification (formal recognition) or not.
If the Candidate is waiting for a certificate from NAWA at the time of registration, they should include in the IRK system the so-called recognition statement generated from the NAWA KWALIFIKATOR system and confirmation of submitting documents in the NAWA SYRENA system regarding the issuing of individual information about the diploma, confirming the eligibility of applying for admission to the School.
The database of supervisors and research topics
Note! Candidates are obliged to submit the description of a prospective research topic and the acceptance of the supervisor. Therefore, find a potential supervisor before you apply, in order to establish details of the future cooperation. The list of research topics will no longer be available in the IRK system.
A potential supervisor can be found through the database of supervisors. In the database you can find a list of supervisors, the maximum number of students they can cooperate with and their research interests. If you wish to find more information on a particular supervisor, go to the WUT Base of Knowledge -the People section.
The potential supervisor can be also found by choosing a research area or a scientific discipline. Useful tabs can be found in the upper left corner of the database.
In the Search field you may insert a key word or a surname, and thus find a research area of your interest or a supervisor representing a particular scientific discipline.
After the list of people accepted to the Doctoral School is published, PhD Students Office will inform the people on the list about the next steps, including the date of submitting the original admission documents.
