Internships at the EuXFEL

As part of the XFEL project funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW), we offer the opportunity to undertake short-term (up to 6 weeks) and medium-term (up to 3 months) internships at the research stations of the European X-ray Free Electron Laser - EuXFEL. Participants will become acquainted with research topics and experimental techniques used at EuXFEL. The aim of the internships is to prepare young Polish scientists to utilize EuXFEL as a unique tool in their own research.

We are preparing the second edition of the internships, scheduled for the period between March and June 2025. To fully leverage the scientific potential of the stay at EuXFEL, we would like to tailor the internship topics to both your scientific interests and the research being conducted at EuXFEL during that period. Therefore, before we start call for applications for funding, we would like to ask those of you who are interested in the internships to provide until 28.02.2025 the following information:

  1. Full Name
  2. Affiliation
  3. Email address
  4. Current own research topics (brief description, allowing to connect it with the EuXFEL research topics)
  5. Expectations from the internship (e.g., familiarization with the research capabilities of the station, establishing research contacts, preparing a research proposal, etc.)
