Completion of education at the Doctoral School - the procedure for obtaining certificates
(pursuant to § 17, section 3 and 4 of the Regulations ofthe Doctoral School)
I. Certificate of completion of the educational program at the level 8 of Polish Qualifications Framework (PQF)
- No sooner than one month before the planned submission of the PhD thesis, the PhD student may ask for issuing a certificate of completion of the educational program via ksztalcenie.sd@pw.edu.pl.
- In response to the e-mail, the Doctoral School informs the PhD student about the completion or failing to complete the educational program, within 7 working days (subject to point 4 and with the exception of summer holidays, Christmas break etc, when this period may be extended).
- If the educational program is confirmed to be completed, the PhD student gets e-mail information about the place and date of receiving the certificate of completion of the educational program, including obtaining the required learning outcomes at the level 8 of PQF in a certain scientific discipline.
- If the Doctoral School is not able to verify the learning outcomes in terms of the command of a modern foreign language at the level of at least B2 on its own, it may refer the PhD students to the Foreign Language Center (Studium Języków Obcych - SJO) for appropriate verification. The deadline referred to in point 2 starts from the date of delivery of the certificate issued by Foreign Language Center by the PhD student to the Doctoral School.
- The certificate of completion of educational program of the Doctoral School of the Warsaw University of Technology is valid for two months from the date of issuing.
II. Graduation certificate
- After submitting the PhD thesis, the office of the Scientific Discipline Council informs the Doctoral School via ksztalcenie.sd@pw.edu.pl about the title of the thesis and date of its submission.
- Doctoral School issues a graduation certificate within 5 working days (with the exception of summer holidays, Christmas break etc., when this period may be extended) and informs the PhD student about the place and date of receiving the certificate.
