I Competition

As part of the NAWA PROM 2024/2025 competitions, we accept all applications from PhD students and employees for financing short mobility leaves and arrivals from 5 to 30 days – the purposes of the trips should primarily concern the following main aspects:

  1. In the case of PhD students from the Warsaw University of Technology or foreign PhD students:
    • Obtaining materials needed to prepare a doctoral dissertation, including library research, familiarization with facilities, etc.,
    • Carrying out short research studies or participating in experiments necessary to prepare a dissertation,
    • Participation in a summer/winter school in order to familiarize yourself with topics similar to those covered by the dissertation and to meet people pursuing their doctorate and working as researchers from other countries,
    • Active participation in a scientific conference (with a paper or poster presentation) in order to present the results of one's own research work and improve the skills of discussion in English on topics related to one's own scientific interests.
  2. In the case of university employees (employees from NA and NNA groups), the main objective of the visit is to increase the internationalisation of the WUT Doctoral School by implementing activities such as:
    • Establishing international contacts, including those concerning doctoral student mobility,
    • Exchange of experiences regarding doctoral education,
    • Development of principles for double diploma agreements,
    • Establishing contacts with other universities in order to expand the teaching offer, including increasing the number of classes for doctoral students conducted in English.

  • Number of places for PhD students from WUT: 30
  • Number of places for foreign PhD students: 5
  • Number of places for academic staff from Warsaw University of Technology: 4
  • Number of places for foreign academic staff: 5

How to submit an application?

The application form is available in the Regulations and attachments tab. There you should select the appropriate attachment from numbers 1-4.

  • Attachment 1 – for PhD students of the Warsaw University of Technology
  • Attachment 2 – foreign PhD students
  • Attachment 3 – for employees of the Warsaw University of Technology
  • Attachment 4 – for foreign employees

Note: The application for participation should also include attachments (marked in the application):

  • Confirmation of acceptance for poster/oral presentation at the conference (if applicable)
  • Confirmation of acceptance for winter/summer school/ internship/research and plan of stay from the host unit (if applicable)
  • Other

Important: Applications must be submitted in English and the supervisor's signature is also required in the case of PhD student applications.

Financing – In Attachment 6 you can find flat rates that determine the amount of financing depending on the country and the daily stipend rate depending on the participant's category.

The application must be completed and signed (written signature on a printout or electronically qualified). Then the completed application must be sent to the following e-mail address: projekt.sd@pw.edu.pl, where it will undergo formal verification.

Once accepted, the application will be forwarded for evaluation to the Competition Committee, which will decide whether to qualify the applications, forward them to the ranking list or reject the application on its merits.

Once the competition results are announced, we will contact qualified participants to provide further instructions.
