Doctoral School no. 3
The mission of the Doctoral School No. 3 is the comprehensive formation of independent scientists of the future by educating them in the areas of scientific disciplines represented in the School, caring for harmonious development in the fields of science, engineering, and soft skills, as well as shaping commitment to fundamental academic values - truth and tolerance, scientific criticism and social responsibility.
Doctoral School No. 3 prepares doctoral students to conduct research, publish their results, prepare a doctoral dissertation, and thus obtain a doctoral degree in four disciplines:
- Automation, electronics, and electrical engineering,
- Information and communication technology,
- Mathematics,
- Physical Sciences.
The school provides supervision of experienced academic teachers (professors, university professors, and assistant professors with the degree of habilitated doctor) conducting their research at six faculties of the University of Technology:
- Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology,
- Faculty of Electrical Engineering,
- Faculty of Physics,
- Faculty of Mathematics and Information Sciences,
- Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering,
- Faculty of Mechatronics.
Doctoral students of the Doctoral School No. 3 are included in research projects from the beginning of their studies, they conduct work in modern laboratories equipped with world-class measuring and technological devices. The school provides a rich and diverse offer of classes, constantly expanding, and aimed at supporting doctoral students in their development and work on their doctoral dissertation.
The foundation of Doctoral School No. 3 is dialogue and cooperation with doctoral students - listening to their needs, close contact, and assistance in solving problems.
We are here for you, together we devote four years to hard work, the effect of which will be an original contribution to world science confirmed by obtaining a doctorate degree in technical and exact sciences.
